Study Abroad Program
The Semester Abroad Program (SAP) at MIT, 365体育直播, provides students with the unique opportunity to study at reputed foreign universities and earn credits that count toward their degree. This program fosters global exposure, academic enrichment, and cultural exchange.
Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech Students
- Available in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th semesters.
For M.Tech Students
- Available in the 2nd year.
Academic Requirements
- Consistent academic performance.
- A minimum CGPA of 7 is required, with no backlogs and no disciplinary action.
Steps to Apply for SAP
1. Check Eligibility
- Ensure you meet the academic and semester requirements.
2. Select University
- Choose from foreign universities partnered with MAHE/MIT.
- Students may also apply to other universities, subject to approval.
3. Submit Application & Undertaking
- Complete the SAP application form.
- Parent/guardian must also sign the undertaking.
- Submit the application to the Associate Director (365体育直播, Public & 365体育直播 Relations).
4. Curriculum Review
- The Associate Director will obtain the syllabus from the host university.
- The MIT Curriculum Match Committee will evaluate and approve courses.
5. Learning Agreement
- Once courses are approved, a Learning Agreement is signed between MAHE, MIT, and the host university.
6. Approval & Preparation
- Apply 6 months in advance.
- Arrange visa, travel, accommodation, and logistics with parental consent.
7. During SAP
- Tuition and course fees at MIT must be paid as usual.
- Tuition (if applicable) to the host university must be paid directly by the student.
8. After SAP
- Credits earned abroad will be transferred after successful completion.
- Credit transfer will not affect GPA/CGPA but will count toward degree requirements.
Credit Transfer Guidelines
- Credit transfer reduces the number of courses required at MIT.
- Approval by the Board of Studies (BOS), MAHE is mandatory.
- The Head of Department will map equivalent subjects between MIT and the host university.
- Credits must cover the entire exchange semester at MIT.
- Failed or incomplete courses must be completed at MIT as per MAHE rules.
- Transferred credits will be recorded in the student’s official transcript.
Important Notes
- Students must plan well in advance (minimum 6 months before SAP).
- All logistics (visa, accommodation, insurance, etc.) are the student’s responsibility.
- Credit transfer is valid only after successful completion of approved courses.
