Hearing screening camp as a part of free health screening by student affairs committee, SOAHS

Department of Speech and Hearing , SOAHS; conducted a hearing screening on 9^th October 2018 as a part of Free Health Screening, organized by The Student Affairs Committee, SOAHS, MAHE. The aim of the health screening camp was to sensitize the security guards of the campus and other non-clincal staff about the importance of undergoing regular health check up. The other department involved included Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Optometry. A total of 71 people underwent hearing screening out of which 4 individuals were given referral for detailed audiological evaluation . Few individuals dropped out of hearing screening as they were post night duty and were too tired to wait for testing as reported.. Third year students (10) and Interns of BASLP actively participated in providing hearing screening and providing counselling services.
